Sunday was the Puerto Rican day parade and even though I didn't attend I celebrated in my old neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn. By 7 o'clock, the hood was going crazy. It seemed like the buildings had spilled all the neighbohood occupants into the street. Everyone was barbecuing, blasting music, and representing their Puerto Rican Heritage in some form or another. People riding by honked at each other and I started marching through the street with around 50 other people. It was definitely one of the funnest and craziest days of my life.
